Early Settlement Mediation - West
The Early Settlement Mediation program, sponsored by the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, is a free service to Canadian County residents. Early Settlement provides mediation services for several issues, including guardianship, divorce and child custody, small claims, and civil. INBRE
Redlands Community College is part of the Oklahoma IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (OK-INBRE) grant program awarded by the National Institutes of Health Institutional Development Award (IDeA) Program to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. OK-INBRE supports health science related research at Redlands through a summer internship program whereby selected students receive a monetary stipend to work alongside research scientists at various research colleges and universities within the state. In addition, the grant provides Redlands financial support for faculty professional development, research and community outreach.
NASA-Oklahoma Space Grant Consortium
As part of the Oklahoma Space Grant Consortium (OKSG), Redlands Community College is receives grant-based funding from NASA to support a variety of programs, including paid student STEM-based internships, tuition waivers for research-based courses, travel to NASA centers, NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars Program and STEM scholarships.
NASNTI Part A Cooperative Grant
The Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) Part A Cooperative Grant is a collaborative grant in partnership between Redlands Community College and Western Oklahoma State College (WOSC) nursing programs. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education for a total of approximately $2.7 million, this five-year grant is designed to increase the diversity and success of nursing students in rural and tribal areas in Oklahoma. A grant Project Director serves both colleges, and each college has a Success Coach and an Outreach Specialist to support the students. The goal of the grant is to increase overall and Native American nursing student enrollment along with nursing outcomes such as increasing retention rates, completion rates, licensure pass rates and community cultural competency. The NASNTI Part A Cooperative Grant staff is housed in the Nursing and Allied Health Building, and the grant has led to renovations in the skills and simulation laboratory spaces, creation of an additional group study workspace, and development of resource room for nursing students. NASNTI STEM (Part A) Grant
Funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) Part A program provides increased class options and career guidance in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The STEM-related grant is designed to enhance opportunities for Native American, first-generation, disabled or low-income students. The grant has resulted in the development and expansion of aquaponics and vermiculture laboratories and agriculture technology courses. NASNTI Part F
The Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) Part F Grant is funded by a five-year U.S. Department of Education grant totaling $2.06 million. The program provides high-quality digital learning and enhanced mental health resources with the goal of increasing the participation, academic success and graduation rates of Native American and low-income students. The second floor of the Learning Resources Center is being renovated to create four collaborative/study rooms for group study workspaces, accessible meeting spaces, a podcast production studio and additional space for online/hybrid courses. The NASNTI F grant has also established a partnership with BetterHelp, the world's largest therapy provider, to offer a layer of support to our students by providing access to professional counseling, anytime, anywhere.
Scholars for Excellence in Child Care
The Scholars for Excellence in Child Care Program provides mentoring and support services to students pursuing a formal education in child development. In addition to scholarships, the program offers support services, technical assistance and personal advisement from the program director.
TRIO Student Support Services
Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded TRIO program that provides free tutoring, college survival course work, transfer assistance and vocational counseling. The program offers academic advisement, math courses, tutoring, career counseling, financial aid counseling, workshops and seminars, and transfer assistance.
TRIO Upward Bound
The Redlands Upward Bound program is an intensive, year-round program for high school students. The program prepares students academically, culturally and socially to succeed in life after high school. Through classes and activities, we assist low-income, first-generation, college-bound student in developing the skills to help them succeed in college. TRIO Veterans Upward Bound
Redlands Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is funded by the U.S. Department of Education as part of the TRIO program, which serves low-income individuals, first-generation college students and individuals with disabilities. A free college-prep program, Veterans Upward Bound provides skills and advice to help qualified military veterans achieve their academic goals.
