The Academic Center for Enhancement offers friendly, professional services designed to help you succeed. Whether you need a quiet, secure place to take an exam or one-on-one help to better understand course material, we provide a supportive environment focused on your goals and growth.
Tutoring Resources
In the Academic Center for Enhancement, we are here to help you succeed! Whether you need a little extra support or a boost in confidence, our friendly tutors are here to guide you. We offer a welcoming space where you can ask questions, build skills, and grow academically—at your own pace. We offer free, walk-in peer and professional tutoring. Your success is our priority.
We can tutor in these subjects:

- Humanities
We can also provide help with:
- Writing and researching assistance
- Research paper documentation styles
- Avoiding plagiarism
- Study skills, note-taking and time management strategies
- College success skills workshops
- Small group study sessions
The Academic Center for Enhancement offers online tutoring in writing as a convenient alternative to face-to-face tutoring. To access this service, please send an email to Writing.Center@redlandscc.edu with your work attached as a Word document and the assignment instructions included. Responses will take up to 24 hours Monday-Friday (during fall and spring semesters) or Monday-Thursday (during the summer semester). A short delay may occur if the work is submitted late in the week or over the weekend.

Fall and Spring Semesters:
Monday-Thursday - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tutoring is available in MM 215B.
Testing Options
The Academic Center for Enhancement is here to support your success every step of the way. We provide a friendly, secure and stress-free environment where you can focus and do your best. Whether you're taking placement tests, certification exams or course assessments, we're committed to making the process smooth, professional and welcoming for every student.
All testing is located in MM 210.
- Accuplacer Placement Tests
We administer Accuplacer NextGen placement tests in reading, writing and math that will help determine the level and number of required courses you will need. To take the test, please schedule an exam time. - Advanced Placement
The Advanced Placement Program® enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies – with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both – while still in high school. - CLEP Tests
CLEP is a series of examinations that will allow you to earn college credit for what you know, regardless of where you learned it. - Defense Activity for Not-Traditional Educational Support (DANTES or DSST)
DSST is a credit-by-examination program, similar to CLEP, specifically for service members or veterans. - TEAS Exams
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is used for Redlands Community College Nursing Program Admission Exam. - Other Exams
- Make-up Exams
Students can make arrangements with individual instructors to take make-up exams in the Testing Center. Students must know the course and instructor's name for the exam to be taken. A VALID PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED.

ACE Testing Rules and Regulations
- Student must present a photo ID
- Student must have the name of the instructor
- No personal electronic devices are permitted in the Testing Center (cell phones, smart watches, fitness trackers, or any other non-medical personal electronic device)
- No food, drinks or children allowed in the Testing Center
- Only material authorized by the instructor will be allowed inside the testing area (no purses, backpacks, etc.)
- Student must show respect for all students and employees of the Tutoring and Testing Centers
- Students must provide receipt before taking a fee-based test
- Please be aware of the testing hours - testing ends at closing time without exception
- Without prior approval from the instructor, all tests must be finished in one sitting
- The Testing Center CANNOT provide students with a calculator
- Hats and head-dressings, unless worn for religious purposes, are not allowed
