After marking its eighth consecutive semester of enrollment growth this Fall, Redlands Community College is opening enrollment for Spring and Summer classes. The continued increase in enrollment highlights the college’s strong academic programs and its commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education.
“Our continued growth shows that students recognize the value of an education that leads directly to career opportunities,” said Redlands President Jena Marr. “At Redlands, we’re focused on offering programs and courses that align with workforce demand so our graduates are prepared to fill critical roles in Oklahoma’s economy.”
The college attributes its recent success to several factors, including the expansion of its degree programs and innovative partnerships. “We’ve expanded our programs and partnerships to ensure students are prepared for today’s careers,” said Annie Pearson, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “And we combine high-quality instruction with wraparound support to ensure every student has the tools to succeed. Our faculty and staff are deeply invested in helping students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their educational and career goals.”
In addition to new degree programs, Redlands has forged partnerships with career technology centers. This collaboration allows students to combine block credit in certain technical areas with general education courses at Redlands to earn an associate degree, creating a seamless pathway for students to advance their education and career prospects. A partnership with OSU- Institute of Technology also provides a clear pathway for Redlands students earning an Associate in Applied Science degree to continue their education at OSUIT, allowing students to transfer more credits and complete their bachelor’s degree efficiently. By simplifying the transfer process, these agreements help students save time and money while advancing their education and career opportunities.
Redlands is also currently accepting applications for its highly sought-after nursing programs. The LPN-to-RN program, which begins in January, is accepting applications until December 1. For those interested in the general nursing program, applications will open January 1, with a priority deadline of March 15. Prospective nursing students are encouraged to submit their applications early, as these programs are in high demand.
"We're committed to providing accessible, high-quality education that prepares our students for success in their chosen fields," Marr added. "Our enrollment increase demonstrates that more students are recognizing the value of a Redlands education."
