Rose State College, Redlands Community College, and Seminole State College have entered into a collaborative agreement designed to enhance library services, strengthen access to educational resources, and support student success across all three colleges.

Through the partnership, the colleges will share a Librarian of Record and coordinate library services to support accreditation requirements, improve access to research resources, and expand instructional support for students and faculty. The agreement reflects a shared commitment to providing high-quality academic resources while exploring innovative approaches to service delivery.

Under the arrangement, a qualified librarian will provide professional oversight and coordination of library services, including guidance on collection development, accreditation support, assessment activities, information literacy initiatives, and resource-sharing opportunities among the participating institutions.

“Libraries remain central to student learning, academic achievement, and institutional excellence,” said Travis Hurst, President of Rose State College. “This partnership demonstrates how colleges can work together to strengthen services, expand opportunities for students and faculty, and make effective use of shared expertise.”

"Access to quality library resources and research support plays an important role in student success,” said Jena Marr, President of Redlands Community College. “This agreement allows us to leverage shared expertise, strengthen library services, and create new opportunities for collaboration across our campuses."

“When there is a student need in higher education, we find a way to meet it,” SSC President Lana Reynolds said. “This agreement helps us maintain strong professional library oversight and reliable research support for our students and faculty. We look forward to working together with Rose State and Redlands and will continue to keep student needs at the center.”

Representatives from the three colleges will collaborate regularly to evaluate services, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that library resources continue to meet the evolving needs of their campus communities.

The agreement takes effect July 1, 2026, and establishes a framework for ongoing cooperation in support of student research, information literacy, academic programming, and institutional accreditation efforts.
