Getting admitted to college and enrolled in classes is just the first step in a challenging journey for many students, and the Redlands Community College Foundation Inc. is committed to financially supporting vital services to make the path smoother for them. The Foundation is inviting the community to make a difference in the lives of these students through its Phantom Fundraiser, which supports essential student services, including the campus food pantry and emergency assistance programs.
"The Phantom Fundraiser is an easy way for anyone to make a difference,” said Tara Douglas, director of the Foundation. “You don't have to purchase a ticket to an event or spend an evening away from home. Your donation goes directly toward helping students overcome challenges so they can stay focused on reaching their goals."
As an added benefit, for every $50 donated, supporters will receive one entry into a drawing for two tickets to see the Broadway tour of Hamilton in Oklahoma City on August 15. All gifts must be received by August 1 to be entered into the drawing.
“We are fortunate to have so many wonderful supporters who believe in our students,” said Redlands President Jena Marr. "Student success extends beyond the classroom. When students have access to basic resources like food and emergency financial assistance, they're better able to stay enrolled, complete their education and prepare for meaningful careers. We are grateful to everyone who chooses to invest in our students and their futures."
Proceeds from the Phantom Fundraiser will directly benefit student support services, including the Redlands Community College student food pantry and emergency assistance programs. These initiatives provide timely assistance to students facing financial hardships, helping them remain enrolled and focused on completing their education.
