In recognition of their dedication, expertise and commitment to excellence, several members of the Redlands Community College faculty and staff have been honored as Outstanding Faculty and Staff by their colleagues.

"We are fortunate to have exceptional faculty and staff, and I'm thrilled to recognize outstanding individuals each semester," said Redlands President Jena Marr. "Our faculty and staff's unwavering commitment, dedication and enthusiasm for education have not only enriched our college community but have also profoundly impacted our students' lives.”

Faculty honored for the Fall semester are Kate Coughlan, professor and department head of Math and Science; Marcia Shottenkirk, professor and department head of Liberal Studies and director of Service-Learning; and Alex Shafer, English professor and tutoring center director. Outstanding staff members are Brenda Harkins, director of Purchasing and Business Office supervisor; Julie Lamb, student counselor for the NASNTI Part F grant; and Amy Woods, administrative assistant for the Redlands Foundation and the Agriculture Department.

Faculty and staff were nominated and selected by members of the college’s Faculty Senate, Staff Association and senior administration.
