Job Description
Redlands Community College is seeking candidates to apply for the Technical Services Specialist II position. This is a full-time professional staff position working 40 hours per week.
The Technical Services Specialist II supports the college’s technology infrastructure
by providing advanced technical support, resolving complex issues, and assisting with
network and server technologies. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high
level of customer service and technical excellence across campus.
Responsibilities Include:
Monitor and manage the iSupport ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of helpdesk
requests.
Serve as Tier 2 support for the Technology Department.
Respond to faculty, staff, and student technology requests via the support ticket
system.
Troubleshoot and resolve client software and hardware issues.
Log and track support calls and ensure timely equipment distribution.
Assist with the deployment of copper, fiber, and communication cable runs.
Support major computer and laptop deployments and related projects.
Provide consultative support and training to end users and department managers.
Produce documentation related to operational processes and improvements.
Maintain a high standard of customer service in alignment with college competencies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a higher education setting.
Two (2) years of related experience and/or training.
Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in PC troubleshooting and Microsoft Office (2016–2019, O365).
Familiarity with common college hardware and software platforms (Apple, G Suite, Microsoft
Suite, web-based applications).
Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
Experience configuring computer systems and managing multiple projects.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Knowledge of higher education business processes.
Experience with video conferencing, web design, and content management technologies.
Ability to provide technical assistance and training to users.
Special Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stoop, crawl, and climb stairs or ladders.
Extended use of computer monitors.

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
