Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month support staff position with excellent benefits. This position reports to the Executive Director of External Affairs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage, create, generate, and evaluate content for the college’s social media presence on various social media sites.
  • Manage and evaluate digital advertising content and campaigns.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of student recruitment initiatives and activities.
  • Coordinate the production of marketing materials, including photography and video.
  • Cover campus events, meetings, and other functions as needed for social media and web content.
  • Stay abreast of social media and graphic design trends.
  • Maintain files and compile reports for the supervisor as requested.
  • Support Redlands Community College Foundation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated experience in communications, including but not limited to social media, graphic design, photography, video, web, writing, editing, and content creation.
  • Skilled in grammar, spelling, and AP Style.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience in proofreading and copy editing.
  • Skilled in creating content for social media and managing social media accounts for an organization.
  • Familiarity with Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
