Redlands Community College invites applications for a full-time Professor of Mathematics
to begin at the start of the Fall 2026 semester. This is a 9‑month faculty position
with an excellent benefits package and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully
to student success in a supportive, collaborative academic environment.
The successful candidate will teach a range of mathematics courses, including zero-level
and 1000/2000-level offerings. The courses that may be included in the teaching load
are College Algebra, Functions and Modeling, General Quantitative Reasoning, Structural
Concepts in Arithmetic, Calculus, Statistics, Trigonometry and Foundations of Mathematical
Reasoning. Instruction may be delivered in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats,
with classes scheduled in the morning, afternoon, or evening. This position also includes
release time to serve as the Math Learning Support Specialist, providing tutoring
services and assisting students with access to third‑party learning systems.
Key Responsibilities
Teach, advise, mentor, and recruit students while maintaining accurate academic records
in accordance with college policies.
Support and uphold the educational philosophy and mission of Redlands Community College.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, staff, and professional peers.
Participate in department and faculty meetings, committees, and initiatives.
Develop curriculum, assessment plans, and instructional materials; integrate applied
research and evidence‑based practices into coursework.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of 18 graduate
hours in mathematics or a closely related field.
At least two years of collegiate teaching experience, demonstrating commitment to
teaching excellence, professional development, and student engagement.
Evidence of effective, creative, and student‑centered instruction and mentoring at
the undergraduate level.
Experience teaching online, including completion of Quality Matters certification
or willingness to complete the training.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in mathematics or a related discipline.
Community college teaching experience.

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges
