Redlands Community College (RCC) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the
NASNTI Project Outreach Specialist position. This federally funded grant project is
titled: Addressing Nursing Shortage in Rural and Tribal Healthcare and is a cooperative grant between Redlands Community College and Western Oklahoma
State College (WOSC), with the position itself housed at Redlands Community College.
The grant is funded from October 2022 through September 2027. The salary for this
position is $37,000.00 per year plus excellent benefits.
Responsibilities include: Providing information to prospective and current students regarding Redlands Community
College nursing program opportunities; coordinating recruitment activities; identifying
and contacting prospective nursing students; recruiting, advising, and enrolling new
and returning nursing students; and assisting with clerical duties related to the
project, including but not limited to: requisitions/purchasing, travel, budget tracking,
data entry, and inventory control.
This position reports to the NASNTI Part A Cooperative Project Director and collaborates
daily with the Nursing faculty, staff, and the Department Head of Nursing and Allied
Health. Individual must adhere to the educational philosophy of the college, work
in a collaborative manner with colleagues and professional peers, and participate
in meetings that relate specifically to the nursing department, advising, and/or grant
needs.
Qualifications include: Associate degree in Nursing, healthcare related major, grant related field, or comparable
experience (Bachelor’s in one of these areas preferred); proficient in Microsoft Office
(Excel and Word); budget monitoring and purchasing experience; and well-developed
oral/written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with diverse
populations. Preference given to individuals who are members of groups that have traditionally
been underrepresented based on race, color, national origin, gender, age, or disability.
Preference given to individuals with nursing or allied health backgrounds and experience.

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges
and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands,
to campus community members about specific types of crime if an ongoing threat is
