Job Description
Redlands Community College is seeking candidates to apply for the Administrative Assistant
position for our Upward Bound program. This is a federally funded, part-time position,
working up to 25 hours per week earning $15-$17 per hour. This position, under general
supervision, performs a variety of administrative and program support activities for
the program director.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinating meetings; making travel arrangements; managing purchasing and accounts
payable functions; screening and handling telephone communications; greeting and directing
visitors; budget reconciliations; preparing correspondence; general filing; maintaining
all program participant records; and inputting program participant data into the program
database.
Qualifications include: Associate's degree or comparable experience required with emphasis in word processing
and spreadsheets, Bachelor's degree preferred; three to five years of documented experience
directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; proficiency in Microsoft
Office and Excel; strong attention to detail; excellent customer service skills; demonstrated
ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet computer software; proficient
in verbal and written use of English; ability to work independently; and ability to
be sensitive to the needs of economically and educationally disadvantaged persons.
A person who has an educational and/or economic background similar to the Upward Bound
target population is preferred.

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges
