Redlands Community College is seeking motivated individuals to join the Academic Center
for Enhancement (ACE) as Peer Tutors. These are part-time positions, working up to
25 hours per week, with opportunities to tutor in the following subject areas:
Mathematics
Science
Writing
Social Sciences
History/Government
Humanities/Art
Nursing/Allied Health
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide individual and small group tutoring sessions.
Facilitate learning as a guide to assist the student to become a successful, independent
learner.
Facilitate an increase and enhancement in student mastery of concepts or applications
of a specific course of study as presented by the course instructor.
Integrate effective study and learning strategies to maximize the student's potential
for academic progress.
Demonstrate an ability to establish rapport and communicate with students and instructors.
Qualifications include:
Successfully completed the course of study with a grade of "B" or better for the subject
being tutored.
Enrollment in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College preferred.
Students enrolled at four-year institutions will be considered.

Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study
and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and
security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery
Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These
notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as
determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges
and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands,
to campus community members about specific types of crime if an ongoing threat is
believed to exist.
