Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Director of Upward Bound position.  This is a full-time, federally funded grant position with excellent benefits. This position oversees all aspects of the Upward Bound program, which is designed to help low-income, first-generation students graduate from high school, prepare for college, and complete postsecondary education. Position reports to the Executive Vice President. The salary range is $53,000 to $59,000 per year based on qualifications and experience. Duties and Responsibilities include: Day-to-day operations of the project; program planning; monitoring; evaluation; compliance with federal guidelines; and preparation of all reports required by the U.S. Department of Education and Redlands Community College. This position is responsible for all aspects of a federal budget and has management oversight of both professional and support staff.  The director serves as liaison between target schools, target communities and the Upward Bound program. This position requires some travel and working nights and weekends for special student events.  Qualifications include: The applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in Education, Behavioral Science or comparable discipline; previous administrative experience in TRIO or similar programs; experience working with disadvantaged populations; be articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills; and have excellent organizational skills. Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Assistant Coach for Men's Baseball position. This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position with excellent benefits. Salary range is $25,000 to $30,000 per year. Position reports to the Head Men’s Baseball Coach. Responsibilities include: Assisting the Head Coach with recruiting, training, scouting prospects, scouting opponents, overseeing player strengths and position training, and coaching members of the baseball team. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing team communications, both official and unofficial visits, and liaising between designated entities within the institutional framework. Participation on institutional committees and events, including but not limited to commencement, is required. The successful candidate is required to abide by the policies and procedures established by Redlands Community College, Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference, and the NJCAA. Qualifications include: Previous playing and coaching experience at the NJCAA level or higher. Minimum 3 years’ experience with recruiting, summer camps, field maintenance, team logistical operations, and team/positional coaching. Minimum 3 years as Head Pitching Coach at the college level. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required, graduate degree or graduate work is preferred. This is a part-time position, limited to working 25 hours per week at $10.00 per hour at the Royse Ranch location.  Responsibilities include:  Arena and ranch general maintenance; painting, mowing and weedeating; fence building; operating farm machinery and equipment; general care of animals (i.e., feeding, watering, cleaning of pens, etc.); may include the use of some chemicals and hazardous products; and other duties as assigned.  Skills, Knowledge and Experience preferred:  Mechanical maintenance and repair; welding; chemical application; operate tractors with frontend loaders; operate zero-turn mowers; operate engine driven tools (weed eaters, chainsaws, etc.); cattle handling (gathering, sorting, loading, and administering medication and vaccine); tagging calves at birth without help; fence building and repair (electric, barbed wire, and cable); and ability to drive a pickup while pulling a trailer and be able to back it up.  Requirements:  Applicant must be able to lift a minimum of 80 lbs.
