Few colleges the size of Redlands have such a wide range of academic programs — not to mention the levels of excellence. Redlands houses a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the largest Honors Society for two-year colleges.

Undergraduates at Redlands get to be involved in conducting research. Plus, all classes are taught by the full professor: there are no graduate-student teachers.

Paying for Redlands

A college education at Redlands costs less than the Oklahoma state average for public institutions (based on cost per credit hour). For students planning to attain a four-year degree, completing the first two at Redlands can save you thousands.

REDLANDS COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION, INC., TO HOST SIXTH ANNUAL DOLLARS 4 SCHOLARS FUNDRAISING EVENT

EL RENO, Okla. — Now, more than ever before, scholarships are making the difference in whether a high school graduate becomes a college student. The Redlands Community College Foundation, Inc., realizes that and is working once again this year to create a world-class event that will draw donors to the cause.

The Sixth Annual “Dollars 4 Scholars” event will take place beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, at the El Reno Elks Lodge, 415 S. Rock Island. Tickets are $25 per person.

“The Redlands Community College Foundation provides quality scholarship opportunities to our students, which is greatly needed in this time of diminished state funding for higher education,” said Redlands President Jack Bryant.

The event, sponsored by Lucky Star Casino, will feature a Casino Night theme. Dinner will be sponsored by Fellers, and the Elks will feature a cash bar.

Additional sponsorship opportunities are available: For $1,000, Black Chip Sponsors receive a Corporate table, eight tickets and logo representation in the event promotions; for $500, Blue Chip Sponsors receive four tickets and logo representation in the event promotions, and for $300, Red Chip Sponsors receive two tickets and logo representation in the event promotions.

Donation opportunities are also available for individuals, families and businesses for the silent and live auctions. All the money raised at the event will go toward student scholarships.
