Gov. Kevin Stitt appointed El Reno resident Dale Cox to the Redlands Community College Board of Regents to serve a seven-year term, succeeding Lynda McColl.
“I am honored to serve on the board of Redlands Community College,” Cox said. “This is such a special institution with a strong foundation in the El Reno community. There are a lot of exciting changes happening, and I’m looking forward to being a part of the continued growth of the college.”
Cox is owner of Trans-Tech, an El Reno-based manufacturer of premium vinyl transportation decals for the rail car industry. Prior to founding Trans-Tech, he spent several years in the rail industry, holding management positions in production, quality control, sales and marketing.
He graduated from El Reno High School and attended El Reno Junior College. He has been a long-time supporter of the college, serving as president of the Redlands Community College Foundation and working with high school alumni to establish an endowment in honor of the El Reno High School Class of 1965. This endowment ensures the provision of an annual scholarship for a deserving graduating student from El Reno High School.
An active member of the community, Cox was a member of the Leadership Canadian County Class VII and served as chairman of United Way Canadian County and as a member of several area organizations, including the El Reno Industrial Development Corporation board, El Reno Lions Club.
Welcoming Cox to the board, Redlands President Jena Marr said,
“Dale Cox has always been an active supporter of the college, so I am confident he will bring a valuable perspective to the board. I appreciate the experience and knowledge all of our regents that has allowed us to take a more innovative approach to enhancing and expanding programs.”
