Responsibilities include: Attending to live animals, which includes feeding, watering, herding, weighing, catching, and loading animals. Other duties may include landscaping and maintenance on the Darlington campus, maintaining records on animals, examining animals to detect diseases and injuries, assisting in birth deliveries, and administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate. The Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) Stem (Part A) Grant is looking for tutors in all areas of Math and Science. Tutors will provide individual and group tutoring sessions designed to increase student mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course, integrate skills in effective study, learning to enhance academic success and provide general academic assistance in one or more science areas of study. This federally funded position provides experience working with underserved populations in emerging areas of STEM and Agriculture, and provides support to learners who may be academically challenged in math and science. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Contribute to the academic success of students and the overall grant program;   Oversee a cadre of peer tutors in STEM related content areas; Assist in daily/routine operations related to grant initiatives and projects, including greenhouse support and vermiculture (worm-farming) support; Engage with the team in managing projects, deadlines, and deliverables; Explore instructional support strategies to increase learning.
