Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Admissions and Advising Assistant position. This is a part-time, 25 hours per week position. The Admissions and Advising Assistant provides assistance to those who contact the Admissions and Advising Office and for the performance of general duties involving either admissions or other general office duties. Responsibilities include: reception and greeting visitors; answer questions and provide information to students, parents, or guardians regarding the application and enrollment process at Redlands Community College; assist students with applications and locating other supporting documentation as required or requested; data entry; communication with current and prospective students and general inquiries in person, via telephone, and via email; understand, maintain and utilize the Admissions and Advising Office filing system; open and process incoming mail on a daily basis, as well as handle out-going mail; participate in the organization of mass mailing projects and document tracking process; monitor and maintain the front office work and reception area; adhere to FERPA confidentiality guidelines as distributed by Redlands Community College; and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications include: a high school diploma or equivalent; applicant should have the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff; demonstrate a friendly, helpful attitude; be committed to serving students; possess a professional demeanor; and be computer proficient. Associate's degree preferred. Working knowledge of the Colleague/Ellucian data system a plus. Clery Statement
Redlands Community College is committed to providing a safe place to live, work, study and visit. Part of this effort includes sharing information regarding the safety and security of our campuses.
Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands, to campus community members about specific types of crime if an ongoing threat is believed to exist.
